THE CIRCLE GAZETTE

A Newspaper written by Children for Children

alt

At The Circle Gazette young writers find an opportunity to tell their stories and opinions; and to play an active role in their communities as reporters.

As part of our “Language Enrichment Campaign” we have launched this unique publication written by children. It is a printed publication but we also have it available online here.

We believe that, even though blogging, texting, emailing and chatting have become very relevant to young children today, the old fashioned printed press offers a great venue to express high quality writing and art; filling young authors with pride and enthusiasm.

Each issue serves also as an invaluable teaching resource! It serves as inspiration to other children to get to know what their peers think and create, to understand journalism, formatting and editing. We want this publication to provide an outlet of good work for children all over South Florida and beyond.

The concept is similar to that of a school newspaper, only that we want the community to transcend and be bigger than one school, than one homeschool group and than one geographic area.

This publication is packed from cover to cover with the latest stories and creations of children as young as 3 and up; about local affairs, the environment, sports, entertainment and puzzles that engage and inspire young minds!

YOUNG CHILDREN CAN PROVIDE A WEALTH OF WISDOM, FRESHNESS

AND NEW PERSPECTIVES!

The Circle Gazette is a one-of-a-kind publication because:

  • It transcends one school/homeschool community. It goes beyond a state or a country. It’s about widening writer’s and reader’s horizons!
  • It is addressed to children and the content is created by children
  • It involves a multiage/multilevel group of contributors
  • The editorial team keeps a holistic and nourishing quality on the selection of content and design
  • It’s a high quality mix of a variety of styles and topics

In its first four issues THE CIRCLE GAZETTE has featured the work of 36 children ages 3 – 13 from all over South Florida, Texas and Caracas, Venezuela.

We look forward to make this project financially sustainable. Join us!

MOVING FORWARD

This is just a start! We believe this is a project of great potential. Our plan is to lead children in the creative journey of putting academics to good use through experiencing the full cycle of journalism, from an early age!

We invite all children to contribute their work to future issues and invite families and institutions to consider supporting this project through advertising and sponsorship opportunities (Contact the Sales & Marketing Team).

The Circle Gazette is currently being distributed in neighborhoods, schools, homeschool groups, churches and local museums and art institutions where our authors reside and everywhere we can reach.
